I was excited to try the new VSS plugin for shadow volumes, winner of the OSDFCON plugins from last week. Alas, after letting a test run of a Windows 10 VM image chug all weekend, the VSS module showed no progress, the CPU and disk activity were essentially idle, so nothing was going on. I couldn't stop it. I couldn't exit Autopsy. I had to kill Autopsy entirely to get out.
The machine it was running on was a quad core I7 with 32 GB of memory and plenty of disk space. It just hung!
